Upcoming Productions
Step into history through an evening of live Chautauqua performance and conversation. The Bismarck Historical Society is partnering with The Study and Bringing Humanities to Life at BSC under an ND250 grant to host a special event featuring nationally recognized living history scholars Joyce Jefferson and Marvin Jefferson, with guest moderator Dr. Larry Skogen. Scholars will be portraying two remarkable figures connected to the American West and the Northern Plains: Sarah Campbell and York.

Location: Bavendick Stateroom, NECE, Bismarck State College, 1200 Schafer St
Positions:
Camera Operators: Camera Operators will learn the basics of our Sony cameras to capture presentational and b-roll footage of the event including the presentations by guest scholars.
Sound Recordist: A sound recordist manages an external mixing device to make sure audio levels and microphones are operating properly and at a manageable level.
How would you like to help?
In addition to the specific roles identified in the upcoming productions, we are always looking for photographers, camera operators, editors, and anyone else who would like to lend a hand on a production. Our volunteer roles are entry-level and will be trained by our staff according to the position requirements.
